Immersion Heater
An immersion heater is an electric element which screws into the hot water cylinder and controls the temperature by means of a thermostat. Where fitted immersion heaters should be set to 60°C (140°F) to save money and to stop the water becoming dangerously hot.
To further save energy Llawnroc Electrical recommends having an immersion timer installed to prevent hot water being heated when there is no demand for it. Alternatively if you have 'Economy 7' the timer could be set to heat the water when electricity rates are cheaper over night and use it during the day. Consult Peter at if you are interested in having an immersion timer installed.
